Back from the Archers sleepover!
We had muchos fun - yesterday lunchtime we all headed to [livejournal.com profile] cadiliniel's for Harry Potter watching and present exchanging. Everyone got me fantastic presents - thank you guys! It was so lovely to see everybody and hang out!
So, we did that all day, then in the evening we went to the cinema to see GOF again. Yes, it is as good the fifth time around, if anyone wanted to know. By the time we got back to [livejournal.com profile] elektrik_storm's place we were all pretty sleepy, so we didn't stay up very late.
This morning we all got up at eight to escort [livejournal.com profile] 3_fries_short to work, and we got breakfast in her place. She is not a bad waitress, all told. Didn't drop anything, but her attitude needs work. :P So then we shopped a bit, bought pretty things, and picked [livejournal.com profile] 3_fries_short up again after she got sent home sick, then we all went back to [livejournal.com profile] elektrik_storm's to pick up our stuff, then [livejournal.com profile] 3_fries_short and I went to Mum's.
There followed a very nice afternoon of chilling and watching ER, plus a tea with proper vegetables in it! And now I'm back at Dad's, hooray!
Ooh, and right after I saw Murder, She Wrote with Kate Mulgrew in it the other day, I saw the Tom and Cerys Baby It's Cold Outside video, and now I can't stop picturing Janeway and Chakotay singing it...

So, I'm back at home, yay! Missing Notts quite a lot though, although I have to say what I'm mostly missing is my bed and my shower. The shower here is like the merest trickle compared to the one at Uni. And my mattress is too soft. But, hooray, I'm back in Wales, surrounded by lovely mountains etc! I really am lucky to have such a beautiful place to come back to.
Anyone who doesn't want to be made jealous by the loveliness of my surroundings, look away now )
Well, I'm having a lovely week. On Saturday night I switched the TV on to see that the Nolans had got together again for a performance on some BBC thing, which was cool, but then I was even more amazed when the next person came on and it was SUZI QUATRO! I was so excited I actually squealed! She was so good!
Yesterday I met up with [livejournal.com profile] 3_fries_short, [livejournal.com profile] elektrik_storm and [livejournal.com profile] cadiliniel to talk about the sleepover and stuff, and of course I nipped over to Mum's for a quick look before heading back to Dwygyfylchi. The house looks so different, it's really incredible. Also, I went shopping and got lots of pretty things, then later I wrapped my presents in front of the Songs of Praise Christmas Special, which was lovely.
And today I went for a walk down to St. Gwynans, dyed my hair (terrifying the man who came to read the meter, as I had to open the door in mid-dye), and now I have to wait in for the carpet fitters, and the original King Kong is on the TV.
Very excited about the Archers sleepover tomorrow! Guys, nobody forget your SSBs. Or no chocolate for you.

Edit: Also, the phone signal here is very weak, so I am getting texts sometimes hours after they were sent. If you really need to get in touch with me fast, call or email!

So, interesting week in a lot of ways.
Monday, I saw [livejournal.com profile] bunnyvon off ok, went to lectures, then got on the train myself to get back to Wales. I had a bit of a scare because I fell asleep on the train, and when I woke up there was nobody there and it was all dark, but luckily I was still in Crewe, so no harm done. I got the Virgin Pendolino, my favourite train ever, from there, and plugged my laptop in and did loads of writing, which was nice. Got home by about ten, chatted with Dad and Tina and Roger, went to bed in [livejournal.com profile] 3_fries_short's room, fell asleep right away. (By the way, I took HBP from your bookshelf, I'll bring it back next week).
Tuesday was the funeral. As funerals go, it was pretty nice really - lots of people showed up, the service was nice, etc.
Wednesday, I spent some quality time with my mother! Yes, it's true! We went shopping and had lunch, and it was very nice and easy-going and things. Considering it was my idea to go shopping, Mum got a lot more stuff than I did, but then my loan still hasn't gone in (GRR) so I couldn't really spend much. Got something for Rich, though.
So then she dropped me off in Conwy, I met [livejournal.com profile] deccaboo, and we met [livejournal.com profile] 3_fries_short and [livejournal.com profile] elektrik_storm after school, and we all went to Pizza Hut and the cinema. We saw Keeping Mum - it was one of those strange films that would have been incredibly mediocre and dull if it hadn't been for the acting, which was class. Maggie Smith rocks! Seeing her tell a joke is the cutest thing ever. Kristin Scott Thomas was adorable in it too. So, as it was, I really enjoyed it, but it somehow seemed like it could have been a lot more than it was. Think I'll watch it again when it comes out on DVD though.
So after my lovely Wednesday, I just had a day of travelling today, on manky boring trains. But when I got back, the Christmas tree was all up and decorated, which was lovely. And Claire and I caught up on our Bleak House, so all in all, not a bad day.
And that's what I've been up to! I may catch up with my flist and I may not, so if there's anything important I need to pay attention to, do let me know!

Hey Ya!!

[livejournal.com profile] deccaboo and [livejournal.com profile] elektrik_storm, what do you guys want to do tomorrow? How do you feel about cinema and pizza hut?
Don't text me, because there's no signal at my Dad's!

Archers!
Since you all know about the Sexy, Sexy Beast Game (except for [livejournal.com profile] 3_fries_short, who is in Spain, but she'll find out as
soon as she gets back), this is probably a good time to make a request
that I forgot to mention in the original thing that I sent out.
Could you all keep all documentation relating to the SSBG, please? I'd
really like to see how it all goes, so if you could keep any notes so
that I can see them at the Xmas meeting, I'd really appreciate it!
