cosmic_llinOK, just posting briefly from the internet cafe which is rapidly becoming my second home.
First of all, I'm shocked about the bombings in London, but it's hard to get any news here. I hope everyone on my f-list is ok.
Having a good time in Russia, learning to play the balalaika, chilling out in cafes all day, off to Moscow tomorrow.
Got mugged yesterday, which was a bummer, but now at least I can finally get a new phone. Plus, I was a star for the day today, as everyone wants a piece of the tragic victim. :p
And, woot, London won the Olympic bid. Don't really mind either way, but I suppose it's worth noting.
Running out of stuff to read, goddammit. I brought three books with me and I'm on my last one.
Also, am annoyed because no debit card means no Harry Potter until I get back to Wales and read my sister's copy. Unless I save some dollars and change them back into pounds when I get back, but I can't really afford to now because of the $50 I lost yesterday.
I am writing a diary, so when I get back and can stay online for as long as I need to, I'll type it all into LJ for anyone who is interested.

Date: 2005-07-07 08:32 pm (UTC)London...I've lost my voice from swearing. I used to go nuclear about my own countrymen setting bombs in London, but dammit, strangers coming in and doing it is even worse in my book. I'm beginning to learn how it feels to hate. Damn damn damn.
One wry-moment thing though - we got the news last night quite by accident (I NEVER read/watch/listen to news) because my SO was transferring Doctor Who repeats (Tom Baker) from VCR to computer, and when the tape ran out we suddenly had Tony Blair's voice filling the room...and until the content of his words sank in, I assumed it was an old ep of Dead Ringers! Dude.
