It's a silly one, I'm afraid...
Mulder talked in his sleep. A lot. And flying made him sleepy.
This afforded Scully much innocent entertainment on those long, dull flights.
‘Scully… don’t swim in the jam…’ he mumbled.
She grinned and opened her notebook, carefully writing his words down, adding them to the list.
‘No… the moose… it has kryptonite…’
She choked back a laugh and wrote that down, too. It was lucky she was on his side; over the years she had accumulated an awful lot of fodder for blackmail.
‘My cucumber’s on fire!’
Mulder sat bolt upright, staring wildly around him. Scully let out a peal of laughter, and the man sitting opposite shushed them with obvious irritation.
‘What? What?’ Mulder asked Scully, still confused.
She shook her head, unable to speak, and stuffed the notebook back into her bag. He must never know.
