You smell of glucose!

After a less-than-brilliant week, I have just had an absolutely fantastic afternoon! I'm not sure what exactly made it so special, but I just feel all lighthearted now, any minute I'll burst into song...
Fridays are always good because I finish at noon, so it's like an extra-long weekend. This afternoon I had some errands to run in Beeston, and on my way home I went to the video shop. I love the video shop! They are my kind of people - I just nipped in to find something to watch this evening and they were all excited because they'd just had some new Stargate DVDs in, and they were playing it on the screens around the shop. So naturally I got into it a bit and I had to get that DVD - I seriously don't think they would mind me just standing in the shop and watching the entire thing, but it was halfway through already.
I eventually managed to find a good Mother's Day present for my Moogie - I can't get her chocolate, because my brother invariably does and my sister is likely to also, and she hates all those cheesy things that say 'To The World's Best Mum' and that kind of thing, so I got her a little book about interior design, which I know she will like. Incidentally, is it 'Mother's Day' or 'Mothers' Day'? I guess it depends how you look at it, it could be 'Mother's Day' because everyone only has one mother (ish), or it could be 'Mothers' Day' since it's a day for all mothers.
I also got Yvonne's birthday present sent off ok, even if it's a little late.
And I got a new toothbrush! And some jelly tots!
I'm really looking forward to this weekend. The last few weekends I've been very busy with people staying, going places etc - not that I haven't had a brilliant time doing that, but it's nice now to have a weekend completely to myself. So the plan is to spend this evening having a pampering session, watching a DVD, getting an early night, maybe. Then over tomorrow and Sunday I'll do some work on my websites, revise some German grammar, prepare my presentation for Russian on Monday, sleep a lot, clean the kitchen, nip into town to take back my (overdue) library books and maybe do some reading!
Yay!
