Fabulous day!!!!!
Pretty nice couple of days all round actually. Sunday we decorated the tree at Dad’s with Tina and Roger, which was fun, and Monday I just chilled and watched MASH most of the afternoon, then went up the village to meet Becky off the school bus and have a chat, since I haven’t seen her for ages. Saw Mrs LL-J too, when I went with Dad to pick Elen up from her school trip, so that was exciting.
Today I got up quite early to see Tina and Roger off, then watched Dr Quinn, followed by rather a lot of Stargate. (New Ground, Watergate, Divide and Conquer and A Hundred Days, for those interested. LOVE that moment in Watergate where Danny goes ‘But it’s Swiss!’ and that withering look Svetlana gives him!)
So mid-afternoon I went back up to Mum’s, helped her decorate the tree and generally hung about until going to the pub quiz with Jess, Becky and Dan.
WE WON!!!!!
Not only did we win the quiz itself, we also won the jackpot, out of a choice of five envelopes! £140 split four ways, woohoo! Thanks to Jess picking the right envelope. It was a Christmas-themed quiz. I still can't believe we won!!

Date: 2004-12-14 11:59 pm (UTC)I got so very sick of having to sing that song every year - I thought I'd never again get a warm glow from seeing it quoted. But now I do :-)
Have a lovely Christmas for me, I don't get one in this household. But at least we're running away together on Christmas Day, to the beach with a friend...
