Fun few days.
Went to the pub quiz on Monday night, as already mentioned. We came about fourth, and only about four points behind the winners as it was a very close contest. I don't think that's bad at all for a bunch of 18 year olds against people with all that life experience!
When I got home I had a late-night collage-making frenzy with my newly-developed photos, and now have something nice to put on my wall in Uni. Speaking of - aaaarrrggghhh!!!!! Two days to go!!!
Tuesday was the day I was guilted into taking Elen to the cinema and Pizza Hut, since she was too young to come drinking with us on Saturday night. Had a pretty good time, actually. Hellboy was great, lots of fun, and hardly anyone there since it was just after school and most people were still in work. (It was a strange experience picking her up from school, thinking that I'll never be there again). Pizza Hut was also nice, we had an actual adult conversation for a change.
Then when I got home my laptop had arived! So cue an evening of technological tinkering.
Wednesday, did my handwashing. Woohoo.
Wednesday evening was the Indian with Bex, Jess and Vonnie. We had a blast!! I got a huge Good Luck card,a Toyah CD and one of those little credit-card sized things that have little poems about friendship on them. I love those guys! Plus, my Mum hates Toyah, so for the next two days I have something new to piss her off with! We had a grand swop of the stuff we all lent one another last time, Jess returned some things I thought I had lost! Seems she's had my Catatonia CD for several months, if not years!
After the meal we went for drinkies in the Mulberry, then off to the bus stop to catch a bus home, which is when the fun part of the evening started.
Yvonne lives in the opposite direction to the rest of us, so her Mum picked her up while we waited at the bus stop. And waited. And waited. Twenty minutes past the time it was stated to arrive, still no bus. We phoned my parents. They were too drunk. Becky's parents also too drunk. Jess' Dad basically said he wasn't a taxi service. So we called an actual taxi service. They had no cars free, but they gave us the number of another taxi firm. They had no cars available either, but gave us the number of yet another firm, who didn't even answer the phone. I called Directory Enquiries to get the numbers for some more taxi firms. Meanwhile, Jess' Dad called back and grudgingly offered us a lift, and eventually we got home.
