Pretty nice day today.
Got up, had a leisurely shower, watched an episode of MASH I'd never seen before, went into town to transfer some money from my building society, ordered me a laptop, watched Will and Grace and, oh yes... GOT INVITED TO A BANQUET IN MY HONOUR!!!!
Which is nice!!!
The thing of it is, I've been organising regular sleepovers for myself, Jess, Yvonne and Becky for about four years now - like little CC min-cons. We get together at my house, along with copious amounts of food, drink, sci-fi vids, games and generally have a blast and talk until the early hours, wake up late and eat party rings for breakfast.
So, unbeknownst to me, they have been preparing a little surprise since I'm off to Uni in a couple of weeks! We are going out for a meal next Wednesday followed by drinks. I got a proper invitation and everything.
I have such great friends!

Dress Code
Date: 2004-09-10 06:27 am (UTC)Can't wait now! The dress code will be smart/casual; e.g. tidy pair of jeans, nice but comfy shoes (don't want us hobbling!), and a top that's dressy but not too dressy (I think Han would put it: you want to look classy, understated but still well put together). I was thinking that I'd wear the jeans I wore last night (to Dan's meal) with my red peasant-style top. I might borrow my Mum's red stilettos, am not sure yet.
I will come to the pub quiz on monday night, I can give you 'The Mammoth Hunters' then and you'll probably finish it by wednesday. It didn't take me too long to read and I don't think it will take you that long either. You'll get a good start on Yvonne's books then.
