Aug. 20th, 2004 06:27 pmAnother fun day!
Hannah and I went shopping - she persuaded me to buy a bright pink poncho, and I persuaded her to buy some tops. It's a very agreeable arrangement. Also got some Xena videos and an anniversary present for Moogie and Stepdad.
Opened a student account! Woohoo! I have an overdraft! Not to mention I get five years Student Railcard, which I know will come in handy because I used mine to death last year, and I can foresee using it even more this year, what with being away at Uni.
Pouring down with rain all day, so I'm still drying out. I can hardly believe it's August. But I'm not too pissed off about it - rain seems to enhance whatever mood I'm already in, so it's just making me happier at the moment. Plus the river is really high and fast and it reminds me of the bit in The African Queen where they think they are going to die because they can't get out of the mud, then it rains overnight and washes them out into the lake. I love that film!
Parents and sister are coming back from their holiday tomorrow. Apparently it has been sunny in Jersey the entire two weeks. At least I will finally be able to watch Stargate again (since my sister is the one who buys the Stargate DVDs, we are not allowed to watch them without her, and two weeks is a long time).
