Welcome to the Femslash Drabbleganza, in celebration of International Day of Femslash 2011! The aim of the game is to write drabbles for any and all fandoms, with as many different femslash pairings as possible - in a chain in which each drabble must use one character from the pairing in the previous drabble, and one new character.

Tell me more?

* Each fandom will have a different thread. No worries if there's no thread for your fandom, just start one! The person who starts the thread gets to choose any femslash pairing.
* The next person in the thread should choose one character from the first pairing, and pair them with someone else for the next drabble
* The person after that should take the newest character from that drabble, and add yet another new character.

(For example, the drabbles could go: Sal/Tip; Tip/Queenie; Queenie/Eileen - but not Sal/Tip; Tip/Queenie; Tip/Susie. That way everyone gets a turn!)

Any other rules?

* Although this is technically a drabbleganza, any length is fine!
* If you're writing a drabble but someone else takes your spot, feel free to still post, but the chain continues with the first person to respond - any subsequent drabbles are dead-ends.
* Trigger warnings and ratings in headers, please!
* Tell your friends!

STAR TREK, Leeta/B'Elanna (Teen)

Quark said the buyer would be the one in the golden sash ordering a Vulcan brandy. He said that right before Odo hauled him off for questioning about some missing schematics. So here she was, lounging behind the bar, keeping an eye out for a guest fitting her boss' description.

She ran an impatient finger along the bottles stashed under the bar, waiting for her shift to be over. Groups have come and gone, but no golden sash in sight. She was ready to signal Rom to take her place, when a short Klingon female stalked in and took a seat at a table near the darkened end of the bar; a gold metal stash across her chest glinting in the dimmed lights. Leeta approached the figure, a slow smile spreading on her lips.

‘What can I get you?’ she asked as she took in the attractive features and broad shoulders of the guest.

‘A Vulcan brandy, please.’

Leeta returned with the bottle and a couple glasses. She poured the drinks, and then unceremoniously planted herself in the other woman’s lap. The Klingon grunted, but did not object. Leeta snaked an arm around a proud neck.

‘I thought you’d want to avoid any suspicion.’ She whispered conspiratorially.

‘B’Elanna.’

‘Hm?’ She was gently biting on an inviting earlobe.

‘My name.’

‘Ah, pretty. I’m Leeta.’ She nibbled on.

‘And Quark?’

‘He’s… Ehm… otherwise engaged.’ The necking continued.

‘Not that I’m not enjoying myself, but now what?’ B’Elanna asked after a while.

‘You could rent one of the holosuites for an hour, I could give you the merch there.’ Leeta suggested.

‘Why not just hand it over now?’

‘I think I just saw a constable walk in. You do want to keep up appearances…’

“Fuck.” A frustrated voice rang out from the corner of the dark, silent Messhall. B’Elanna was sitting forward, resting her head on her arms over a beer on the table. Her slumped shoulders under her undone uniform jacket cast a sorry shadow in the dimmed light.

She was enjoying this dark, still moment. In 2 hours the shift change would bring crewmen and light to her sanctuary and break the sombre atmosphere she had created.

“Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck.” She was only finding some consolation in repeated swearing. Fun, but not really helping.

“You sound like I feel.” The sound of a tentative voice shattered the low, deep anger inside her. Shocked, B’Elanna raised her head to meet the eyes of the intruder. The Messhall had been hers all evening, slowly becoming saturated with the dark, dull pain radiating from her. The sharp motion of her head seemed to send ripples into the still air.

“What the hell are you doing here?” B’Elanna’s anger flared. She looked up to meet the wide and now nervous eyes of Tal Celes shining back at her.

“I’m sorry, B’… ah, Lieutenant. I didn’t mean to disturb you at this hour, I was just getting some tea when I heard you and I thought that, maybe you sounded a bit, well… I don’t know… like maybe you needed some company? I mean, I can’t sleep either so …”

“Stop.” B’Elanna looked at the flustered Tal Celes.

“Sorry… look, I’ll make my tea and leave.”

“Wait. What are you drinking?” The words left B’Elanna’s lips before she really knew what she was doing.

“Just green tea.”

“Hmm.” B’Elanna’s response was short, non-committal and followed by another awkward silence.

“So, ah… you want some?”

“Sit down.” She wasn’t sure why she was being so abrupt with Celes, but it brought a strange pleasure to her wrung out brain. Perhaps she could relieve some of her pent up
anger by playing with the Ensign. That would be a short diversion at least.

Celes duly sat. Another silence stretched out before them. Celes looked at B’Elanna. B’Elanna looked at the floor.

“You love her as well, don’t you.” Tal’s uncharacteristically brave statement sent a shockwave into the air.

“What are you talking about?” B’Elanna’s voice was a threatening growl.

With a sudden and inexplicable courage, Tal continued, “I’ve seen you look at her. In Engineering I mean. When she comes for routine checks. I see your eyes follow her around the room. I see the hunger… because… I have it too.”

“That’s none of your business.”

“Then why are you in the Messhall? You…” Tal’s courage faltered momentarily, “…could be in your quarters. I… I think you wanted someone to find you. You wanted her to find you. But… I did.”

“Your point?”

“She’s out of your reach. She out of both of our reaches. She’s untouchable. She’s the Captain of a lost ship. It’s impossible.”

“Don’t you think I know that?” B’Elanna spat. Hearing the truth caused another spike of anger rise up in her. Who the hell was Tal to come in here and calmly spell it all out? Since when was Tal so calm and sure of anything? B’Elanna started to get up to leave, pace the room, hit something, she wasn’t quite sure what, but was slowed by a hand on her arm.

“I think we need each other now.” Tal was a little shocked at her own bold move but felt propelled forward by some unknown force. She quickly stood and pinned B’Elanna to the cold wall.

They both looked at each other, assessing, trying to figure out what was going on. In their eyes, they both recognised the love - not for each other, but a shared love all the same. Tal leant in to kiss B’Elanna.

Neither could deny the sparks that started as a tingle at their joined lips and spread across their skin, and if they both closed their eyes they could imagine it was the Captain.
