Yes, I suck at updating/keeping in touch/the works. I will update properly sometime but today is not the day.
However, if you give me a fandom and a prompt (a pairing, a word, whatever) I'll write you a drabble! Available to all comers!
A few brief messages:
seti_fan - Your parcel arrived but I won't be at my Dad's for another couple of weeks, I'll pick it up then! Thank you a million! One is winging its way to you!
penguin2 - I miss you! Hugs!
ladyvivien - You = Awesome

Date: 2009-01-27 08:13 pm (UTC)Ooh, a drabble offer? Cool! If you've got any Sarah Jane or Doctor Who stories on your mind, I'd love to hear them.
I hope everything's going well in your life! Talk to you more sometime soon, I hope!

Date: 2009-01-28 09:29 pm (UTC)The Doctor looked up and smiled, surprised.
'Sarah Jane! I thought you Women's Libbers didn't make coffee.'
'It's not chauvinism if I offer,' she said, rolling her eyes. 'I thought you deserved it after that last lot nearly blew you up, and the lot before tried to drown you, and before that you fell through that trapdoor...'
'Gosh, did I really do all that?'
She nodded. 'We both did. All in a row. So no, more adventures for a bit, hmm? We'll just sit and drink coffee?'
'That,' he said, 'sounds like a very good idea.'

Date: 2009-01-28 09:36 pm (UTC)'Is this really... I mean, can I eat this?' he asked, dubiously.
Sarah, already shovelling her own portion into her mouth, nodded enthusiastically.
Harry sighed and, picking up what passed for cutlery on this planet, took the plunge.
'Golly, this is actually quite nice!' he said, chewing thoughtfully. 'I wonder if...'
And then, the alien warlord who had been pursuing them came crashing through the door.
'Now you see why I eat so fast!' Sarah laughed, grabbing his hand as they ran away.

Erm. I'm ok. Right. Mel drabble! Ooh, or Mel/Sarah Jane, if possible! ;D

Date: 2009-01-28 10:02 pm (UTC)But no, you're right, it's probably for the best.
Yours is a bit bigger than a drabble because the idea wouldn't fit properly... in fact I may even expand on it at a later date:
Mel dashed down the alley, breathing hard. She was fairly sure she'd shaken them off, but it was best to be sure. She looked over her shoulder, to check... and ran smack into something solid, which said:
'Hey, watch where you're going!'
It was a woman, perhaps a bit older than her, with brown hair and a frown.
'Sorry!' said Mel. 'Look... you haven't seen a man in a ridiculous multicoloured jacket, have you?'
The woman shook her head. 'No... have you seen a man in a ridiculous multicoloured scarf?'
Mel shrugged. 'Wish I could help.'
'Oh, he'll turn up eventually,' she sighed. 'Probably with trouble not far behind.'
'Mine too!' grinned Mel.
They looked at one another for a moment.
'Well, it was nice to meet you, but I really should find my friend...' the brunette said.
'Yes... good luck!' said Mel.
'You too,' said the other woman, and she was gone. Mel smiled a little smile to herself, and went on her way.

Date: 2009-01-27 11:33 pm (UTC)I got your text - I was out shopping with Gem and we both thought it was a fun way to say hello! I was so surprised you called me 'wigga' that I didn't know what to reply!
Re: GiP
Date: 2009-01-28 10:42 pm (UTC)Muggle Awareness Day, they were calling it. All of the teachers and were being encouraged to give up magic for twenty-four hours, and do everything the Muggle way. Or, as Professor McGonagall thought of it, the slow, stupid way.
She frowned at the typewriter. How was she supposed to write on this thing? A quill was so much simpler!
Gingerly, she pressed a key. It made a happy little clacking noise. She pressed another, then another. The carriage rattled as she started to get the hang of it. The words appeared on the paper... almost as if by magic.
Perhaps this wasn't so bad after all.

Phoneage would rule! I think our landline might be working now, I shall ask Sasha when she gets in...
