My sister is coming to stay this weekend!!!!
Then the weekend after that I'm going to Poppy's, then she is coming up here for a few days! YAY!!
Was just suddenly overcome by the excitement of it all!
Ooh, I found out today that my Russian Literature lecturer used to routinely smuggle banned books into the USSR - how cool is that?
The volunteering project I wanted to do is full already, so they are trying to get me a placement as a classroom assistant in a primary school for one afternoon a week. Failing that, since those things tend to fill up pretty fast, I might instead go for the Dyspraxia Computer Club, since it's in the evenings so I can be much more flexible about times etc.
Oh, we had a bit of a panic last night as my sister wants me to take her to see Green Day in January, but the tickets have already been on sale for a few days. I tried four different websites before I found one that actually had some tickets available at a reasonable price, while she kept IMing me going: 'Did you get them? Are we going? Oh, God, please let there be tickets!' But should be ok now.
Am off to Pagans in the Pub meet this evening, should be interesting.
