Sep. 25th, 2004 10:22 pmJust heard the funniest thing ever! William Shatner's cover version of Pulp's Common People! Think I will probably die laughing! Eeeeeehhheeeeheee!!!!
Actually it's quite good that I heard it, since I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself today having caught Claire's cold. Also I have been away from home for a week now. It's strange - in some ways I feel like I've been here forever, but on the other hand I'm still sort of expecting to be home any time now. I'm really missing certain people, and to top it all off I'm practically destitute since my loan hasn't come in yet. Hope it arrives on monday or I'll have to become a pole dancer just to buy baked beans.
Have actually applied for a few jobs, but it's so difficult because everyone wants people who can work the whole Christmas holiday, even Christmas Eve and Boxing Day, and I just don't think I'm willing to stay here over Christmas. I want to be at home for at least a few days.
Claire and I went to the launderette last night. Ooh, washing on a Friday night - we felt really hard-core, I can tell you. Haven't been out tonight either due to a combination on skintness and cold, but we did go into Nottingham this afternoon to have a bit of a look around.
Also, yesterday morning I had a supposedly very important tour at ten o clock, so I set my alarm for seven in order to have time to press the snooze button a few times, get into the shower, have breakfast, dye my hair purple etc before walking over to the main campus.
The tour was five minutes long. It didn't include anything we needed to know. Hardly anyone else bothered to go. Grr.
So I skipped the library tour that afternoon in retaliation. Beside, I think I know how a library works.
Think I will check the lottery numbers on the off chance that I'm a millionaire, then go to bed.
