OMG!

From the moment [livejournal.com profile] deccaboo, dressed as a masked gentleman, met me at the bottom of the drive, bowed and gave me a mask of my own, I knew it was going to be a pretty special evening! And it really was!
As we walked up to the house I heard laughing from within... everyone was wearing a mask and all looked gorgeous and it was so cool and [livejournal.com profile] bunnyvon made a little speech and people bowed and stuff! I felt like a princess!
There was a feast - a proper one at a table, which we never do! Ooh, with toasts, too! Classy, huh? It was all delicious - you guys must have worked so hard on it, thank you so much! There was much conversation filled with double entendres (and single ones too, lol) and stupid jokes. Oh, and simulated sex with a cucumber and a breadstick!
I'm finding it hard to remember in what order stuff happened, but I will try my best...
After the fabulous feast, we made our own cocktails! Mine had watermelon bacardi breezer, tequila, pineapple juice, vodka and malibu. It was yummy, but [livejournal.com profile] elektrik_storm's was nicer. Until she went and put sweets in it and they went all ucky. I can't remember what was in anyone else's, but they were all quite nice!
Ooh, for some reason we ended up singing Shine, Jesus, Shine around the piano... although not for very long...
Was it the book after that? They made me a cool book, with profiles of them in case I forget them, and fic, and drawings of me and stuff! It's truly fabulous and I shall treasure it forever. I reread the stories waiting for the bus after work today. They really are all wonderful. I'll never ever ever get bored of them.
We had a piƱata! It was ace! But since we were all blindfolded and dizzy trying to hit it, it seemed to be taking forever, so we just ended up throwing it on the floor and attacking it... And then we ended up also throwing the sweets inside... Yes, why did we have a Celebrations fight? That was random... but cool...
Then there was Pass the Parcel! I won socks and pants! It was fun! I like Pass the Parcel!
At some point [livejournal.com profile] bertybot9 joined us, and we played Urban Sin, the board game [livejournal.com profile] bunnyvon invented. We weren't quite in the right mood so we didn't play for very long, so I only got married twice, once to boring Thierry Henry, and once to Daniel Jackson! [livejournal.com profile] 3_fries_short, I'm sorry I made you jealous! It's you he really wants!
Then we played the Psychologist Game, which was amusing as ever!
Oh, in between all of this there was a lot of singing and dancing to various soundtracks. It was ace! Oh, and I sadly found myself unable to repeat my reportedly uncanny Tom Baker impression... I guess it's one of those things that has to be spontaneous...
(Ooh, that reminds me, I got Doctor Who playing cards today! But no SJ card! What a swizz! But Ace is the Ace of Hearts, which is sweet. And The Rani gets a card, yay!)
I think it was after all of this that they revealed the Russian Survival Kit! Which is, I have to say, the coolest thing on the planet. It includes items essential to life in Russia, including party rings (for breakfast), a red dragon luggage tag (to remind me that I'm Welsh) and a pinstripe jacket (so I can dress like The Doctor!!!!). All of this attractively presented in a Dalek backpack, wheee!!!!!
Was it after that that we had cake? They made me a cake! With Russian on it! It was super yummy! There were also little cakes with all of our names on, and little chocolate butterfly cakes!
Oooh, and my goodbye card is an escape certificate, lol!
We did eventually go to bed.
And then I had to work today, and I realised I'd left my work shoes at home, and I couldn't very well wear my red stilettos on the pier all day, and so, dammit, I had to buy a new pair of shoes on the way in to work... They're Mary Janes, and they're pretty, go me!
Work was horrible. But it's over now, and I have the day off tomorrow!
[livejournal.com profile] 3_fries_short,[livejournal.com profile] bunnyvon, [livejournal.com profile] cadiliniel, [livejournal.com profile] deccaboo and [livejournal.com profile] elektrik_storm are five of the most fabulous people in the multiverse, and they all deserve medals and SSBs!

(On an unrelated note, in my Doctor Who Magazine it says that Sarah Jane Investigates is getting a one-hour pilot... which suggests a proper drama instead of a crappy educational thing... Also this means it's definitely official, so even if it doesn't get made into a series after the pilot, we still have sixty precious minutes of Sladeny goodness to treasure forever...)

Cinderellification? Sounds intriguing...
I'm going on the 5th of September, so probably I'll go down to London on the 4th and stay the night in the airport, because my flight is first thing in the morning.
And you should be receiving a postal thigummy very very shortly...

Sadly, it's not intriguing. It's exactly what it sounds like - hard bloody housemaid-work for shockingly little recompense (although the barter-Cinderella monthly booking I have pays my phone bill, so a big yayyy for that!). While I love the actual physical work (it's all I'm able to do at present, what with the illness an' a'), I would sooner earn my pennies by the sweat of me neurons. Oi loikes sweaty neurons. And I'm bloody hotshit at tutoring, so yay me! (Which reminds me - one of my sometime students rang this morning to book me for a study assist for his forthcoming Latin exam...to which I replied, "My Latin is fecking rusty but paratus et libens sum" :P )

And arrrggh! So soon! Curses for my living outside calendar-time! ~thinks~ I might not be able to send your echidna until Monday; if it doesn't arrive in time, will someone be able to forward him-or-her to you? Strangely enough, a friend of mine who's been working out in Western Australia came home for a brief break - and brought me another echidna, hahahaha! So I now have two, named Gravitas and Hubris :D

LOL, doesn't everyone?

I'm sure I could sort something out, yes! Gosh, I'm all excited now...

So I now have two, named Gravitas and Hubris :D
They're kick-ass names!

Dude. Duuuude. I was working through most of the night after we got home (got your text messages whilst on a dinner break in city centre), so I never got around to opening the package until a minute ago. EEEEEEEEEEE OMFG they're FANTASTIC! ~bounces up and down going squeesqueesqueeee~

Ahem. I think that pretty much says it all. 1952 me arse :P

They're kick-ass names! Hee! Thankee. I have no idea how the names for my soft toys come about; they just sort of name themselves at me. There's a huge penguin called Legible, a yellow-and-orange octopus called Strabismus, a warthog called Edgbaston, a turtle that completely fails to answer to Cheese, a bat that may or may not realise its name is Herbert George...hmm, one of these days I should do a post about my vast cuddly menagerie :D

Ooh, and I'm still thinking about your which-bits-of-which-Doctor question from last night. So far I've Tom Baker's vocal chords, Jon Pertwee's sneer, Patrick Troughton's manic eyes, Peter Davison's just-about-everything...muhahahaha...

Glad you like them!

Heehee, good choices... definitely agree on the vocal cords... I'm having trouble deciding between asses - David Tennant or Jon Pertwee, LOL. And hair... Tom Baker or Paul McGann...?
