cosmic_llinWell, I tried to be sensible and get an early night, since I have so much to do tomorrow, but my throat hurts and I'm too hot and it's just not happening. So I'm updating my LJ instead.
My last full day in Nottingham was... good. We had a year abroad briefing in the afternoon - the briefing itself was informative, but now I have to sort out travel insurance tomorrow morning as well as everything else. Also, either I've been given the wrong briefing pack or I didn't get my first choice of language course, but I don't know which because I haven't been categorically told... I hope it's the former, otherwise my accomodation arrangements will be quite different and I won't be best pleased, especially when all indications were that I'd been given my first choice...

sashavangenius, Charlie, Hannah, Tash and Stephanie. It was a lovely evening, and a great way to round off the year. sashavangenius and Lindsay ended up flicking aubergine all over the place. Claire made a lovely cake and she was going to put whipped cream in the middle, but I got a bit too enthusiastic and over-whipped it, so that was out... still the cake turned out great and she just put jam in the middle instead, which I prefer anyway.
I'm so thrilled to be going back to Wales for the summer, and I'm really excited about going to Russia in September, but it's really just hitting me now how much I'm going to miss Nottingham. Living in this house has been such a wonderful experience, and Beeston is such a great place to live, and I'm going to miss everyone so much.
I love going to new places and doing new things, but it always means saying goodbye to the people and things I'm leaving behind. *sigh*
Edit, 3.51am: Well... all attempts at sleep have failed. When I lie down my throat closes up... It's probably better just to give up; it'll be worse if I get to sleep now and only get a couple of hours ... I'll watch DVDs until it's time to get up...
