Argh! I've been studiously avoiding the internet, apart from checking my email and looking at LJ once a day, this week. But how could I turn down a Doctor poll? Hee. Unfortunately I had to choose Peter Davison as my so-called favourite simply because it was a "choose one" thing and I always did like his rendering of the Doctor - but the truth is that my favourite Doctor is...THE DOCTOR! All his different aspects have been brilliantly played, even if the scripts, plots, companions and production values sometimes sucked in the 20th century series; I'd even have to include Hartnell there, because for all that he was a half-senile old ham, he did define the original role, and he was up against the very early visualisations of the character, i.e. before the Beeb realised what a wonderful, mutable, evolutionworthy superhero they'd dreamt up!
