And, ohhh... a missing year.... oh, the possibilities...
Laura and Bill were so good together in this episode... with the giggling at the beginning, and the arm hugging... and then the fact that she basically gave up the election because he asked her to...
That baby looked very small considering it was meant to be a year old...

OK, my predictions...
Bill and the fleet will come back with some cool master-plan.
There will be a resistance. It will involve Kara, Chief, Cally... I'm hoping Laura, wouldn't that kick ass? Resistance fighter Laura?
Gaius, having just rolled over and taken it, will continue to do so. They'll keep him around, he'll do what they say... they might even let him keep the title of President, but he'll obviously have no acual power.
Cally's baby will be born in the middle of a battle or some other emergency. I mean, come on, this always happens.
Someone will die. My money's on Gaeta. Dunno why, just a feeling.
Laura will get to be President again. Surely...
Bill will shave off the moustache...

WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD...
Date: 2006-04-23 03:42 pm (UTC)Okay: First episode's called 'Occupation', second's called 'Precipice'. That's all we know in the ways of names...
- There's a resistance which Chief and Sammy are heading. Which includes suicide bombers.
- Some humans have joined with Cylons. Some did nothing. Some fight. But there's a human police force of 200+
- Some Cylons dislike what's going down - don't like the occupation.
- Xena learns that Hera/Isis/toaster!baby is still alive through some Oracle chick who claims to be a messanger from God. Xena has apparently lost her faith and is going down.
- Kara loses the hair (NO!) and it becomes between Sigourney Weaver Alien 3 buzz cut and Kara!miniseries length. Also? Kara goes through a shitload of badness in first 4 episodes. Anders is SO a dead man...
- Fatpants is sticking around for first 5-6 episodes...then Lee discovers Jenny Craig and gets thin again.
- At least Cally, Tigh and Laura are in detention cells. Laura gets let out by Baltar in first ep. Cally gets visited by Galactica!Boomer and Tigh gets visited by Dean Stockwell (I'm sorry but I can't call him Cavil).
- Ellen is sleeping with Stockwell. Ewwwie!
- Once out, Laura and Tory are trying to find humans who sided with Cylons by means of blurry photos. They're also - whilst waiting for Bill+pornstache to get back - planning to tell future generations of what shit has gone down.
- There's a lot of abuse and torture and Tigh gets an eye gouged out (NO FRAKKING WAY!).
- There are a few significant deaths in first few episodes. One of them is Ellen (NO!). I literally - with tears and all - cried at this. Ellen's a bitch, but I like her.
- And directly quoting Spoiler Comm...
"Most of the story is going to be taking place on the planet during the first episodes. Also, there's going to be a Galactica and Pegasus sidestory in the background, and later, by episode 4-5, the story will focus more on them."
Scary stuff...
