Ah...
The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas is the sweetest film ever! I mean, it has dancing, and singing, and Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise, and pretty dresses and it's just adorable!
Right, now I need to get up and get going so that I can get everything ready for the Archers sleepover this evening.
But I can't be bothered...
Maybe I'll just stay here a while longer...
Ooh, in other news, I read through my screenplay properly for the first time since I did the first draft. Having read the books that
cadiliniel and
sashavangenius gave me, I found good news and bad (well, not really) news...
The good news is that a lot of the stuff in those books was common sense, and I've managed to avoid pretty much all of the major mistakes, and I've made a good start - I have a sensible story structure, interesting characters, good dialogue and the right formatting and stuff.
On the other hand, it still needs a lot of work, but I feel like I know what I need to do with it to get it as good as it can be - there are a couple of characters that need more development, I need to make the obstacles more difficult to overcome, I need to tweak the middle a bit, and there needs to be a stronger link between the two elements of the plot.
So it's going to be a while before it's ready to go out into the world, but I at least have a plan of action. If only I didn't also have exams...
