cosmic_llinNice day today.
My Eisenstein presentation seemed to go ok, even though Professor Dobrenko has the very annoying habit of talking about your topic before you make the presentation rather than after, so you feel like it's all been said already.
When I got home I was in a creative mood, and so I made some fairy cakes! Half of them have ordinary icing and half of them have lemon drizzle icing. They're very nice if I do say so myself.
After that Rich and I developed a circus act, huzzah! (Not really). Also we put the dartboard back up and played a bit. Got rather a lot of writing done today, and then this evening we watched Donnie Darko.
OMG I didn't know Mary McDonnell was in it! She was so good! We just got it because Rich wanted to watch it and then it was like a feast of cool people! I don't usually like Drew Barrymore but I thought she was very good. Maggie Gyllenhaal is the best. Donnie's girlfriend was cute. In general it was a bit bizarre and confusing but I think I liked it.

Date: 2006-02-23 05:46 am (UTC)I pretty much loved everyone in the movie (cept Kitty, couldn't stand her. Wanted Rose to punch the bitch). Jena Malone did a fantastic job IMO and yeah...such a good movie!
