SEASON TWO OF BSG ARRIVED!!!
Very, very exciting. Thank you very much
penguin2 and Mister
penguin2! I can't decide whether to watch one tonight or leave it until Wednesday evening when I can have a proper good run of four or five episodes. I do have rather a lot of work to do this week, unfortunately...
Having said that, I'm having an unusually productive day, considering it's a Monday!
While I didn't get up early like I planned, it wasn't horrendously late either, and I did a bit of online shopping before heading to the library to watch October.
I eventually worked out where they kept the videos and where the room was where I could watch it, and I made lots of notes about Eisenstein's camera-work and use of metaphor and allegory. Then I went to get a couple of books on the subject too, so hopefully my presentation on Wednesday is shaping up ok now...
I still need to read Mozart and Salieri for Drama tomorrow, but it's only about ten minutes long so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm not even sure whether or not I have grammar homework, but if I do it's probably in for Wednesday anyway...
Anyway, after I got out of the library I went to the post office to post an exciting parcel for
cadiliniel. Which hopefully means that she will shortly be sending me a parcel too... :P
That reminds me - Lindsay got loads of parcels this week because it was her birthday and it made me all jealous because I love getting post. So, write to me people! You know you want to! Ooh, and
deccaboo, drop whatever you are doing, go and write the first 200 words that enter your head for the notebook, run to the post office and send it to
bunnyvon immediately. Unless you have already done it, in which case, hooray!
Anyway, after the post office I went to the bank to set up an ISA, hooray! The interest rate is 4.59%, and they do it every month, so not bad. Especially since I put pretty much all of my overdraft money in there, so I'm scraping the bottom of my current account, but it's not a problem because I'll be making a fair amount on the ISA and I can just transfer it across when I need it. Also set up a standing order into it to make sure that I do actually save some. Gosh, I feel so grown up... *g*. Money is the BEST.
So, plans for this evening include:
* Get some bits and pieces from Somerfield
* Watch an episode of either BSG or SGA - but ONLY if I'm good and do my work
* Draft my Eisenstein presentation
* Read Mozart and Salieri
* Write a few hundred words of something
* Do some washing
* Watch ER
Very, very exciting. Thank you very much

Date: 2006-02-20 10:09 pm (UTC)Admittedly I prefer Schaeffer's version, but still.
And BSG has me hooked.
