SEASON TWO OF BSG ARRIVED!!!
Very, very exciting. Thank you very much [livejournal.com profile] penguin2 and Mister [livejournal.com profile] penguin2! I can't decide whether to watch one tonight or leave it until Wednesday evening when I can have a proper good run of four or five episodes. I do have rather a lot of work to do this week, unfortunately...
Having said that, I'm having an unusually productive day, considering it's a Monday!
While I didn't get up early like I planned, it wasn't horrendously late either, and I did a bit of online shopping before heading to the library to watch October.
I eventually worked out where they kept the videos and where the room was where I could watch it, and I made lots of notes about Eisenstein's camera-work and use of metaphor and allegory. Then I went to get a couple of books on the subject too, so hopefully my presentation on Wednesday is shaping up ok now...
I still need to read Mozart and Salieri for Drama tomorrow, but it's only about ten minutes long so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm not even sure whether or not I have grammar homework, but if I do it's probably in for Wednesday anyway...
Anyway, after I got out of the library I went to the post office to post an exciting parcel for [livejournal.com profile] cadiliniel. Which hopefully means that she will shortly be sending me a parcel too... :P
That reminds me - Lindsay got loads of parcels this week because it was her birthday and it made me all jealous because I love getting post. So, write to me people! You know you want to! Ooh, and [livejournal.com profile] deccaboo, drop whatever you are doing, go and write the first 200 words that enter your head for the notebook, run to the post office and send it to [livejournal.com profile] bunnyvon immediately. Unless you have already done it, in which case, hooray!
Anyway, after the post office I went to the bank to set up an ISA, hooray! The interest rate is 4.59%, and they do it every month, so not bad. Especially since I put pretty much all of my overdraft money in there, so I'm scraping the bottom of my current account, but it's not a problem because I'll be making a fair amount on the ISA and I can just transfer it across when I need it. Also set up a standing order into it to make sure that I do actually save some. Gosh, I feel so grown up... *g*. Money is the BEST.
So, plans for this evening include:

* Get some bits and pieces from Somerfield
* Watch an episode of either BSG or SGA - but ONLY if I'm good and do my work
* Draft my Eisenstein presentation
* Read Mozart and Salieri
* Write a few hundred words of something
* Do some washing
* Watch ER

I love that play!

Admittedly I prefer Schaeffer's version, but still.

And BSG has me hooked.

With season two ESPECIALLY the first 4 episodes, you'll need to watch at once because they happen within a few hours/days of each other. Plus there's shiny angst that will leave you wanting more.
