THE PRIME OF MISS JEAN BRODIE IS THE BEST FILM THAT HAS EVER EXISTED IN THE WORLD EVER!!!!!!
Seriously... it rocked so hard! There haven't been many films that have affected me like this. Serenity was one. Paradise Road was another. House of Mirth too. But this was just... incredible. I feel like it's ruined me for other films...
Maggie Smith should be worshipped as a GODDESS. She's so incredible. I can't get over how amazing she is. There's just nobody that even touches her. She looked stunning. She sounded stunning. She was just so... gah... there aren't even words. I actually feel kind of drained now, it was that involving...
And, oh yes, there were other people in the film too *g*. Celia Johnson was ace, hooray! Little bit scary, actually. The girl that played Sandy was very good, very subtle. Sandy was a bitch, but you could sort of see how it had happened. Let that be a lesson to the people who ignore the dependable people - it can go very, very wrong. Hah, think on that, people whose names I will not mention.
And looking at it from my post-Brodie perspective, the dance lesson scene from GOF is actually kinda Brodie-esque... I think maybe that was deliberate. And cool!
*sigh*
