Well, last night was nice.
I went for a long shower, then watched Atlantis while slathering myself in lotion and eating chocolate, and then had a nice early night with my nice, freshly-washed bedclothes. And I went to sleep right away! Which hasn't happened once this week, so, yay!
So, I'm now caught up with all the Atlantis I have, which is up to and including The Long Goodbye.

Well, Critical Mass was fantastic! I thought everyone did so well in it, and there were lots of cool bits like the 'twilight bark' scene and the bits with the (ahem) Rodney/Carson/Cadman triangle. Elizabeth was cool. I couldn't believe Kavanagh having a go at her like that! I was actually open-mouthed in amazement. She so should have decked him, but that wouldn't have been sensible. But I'm glad he got his come-uppance, sort of. Even though I had been told that Caldwell turns out to be a Goa'uld, I totally forgot, so I was pretty shocked when it happened! And, woo, Teyla sang! The only problem with this episode was that it should have been a two-parter. Some parts felt very rushed.
Grace Under Pressure I of course loved - extra Sam is never out of place, and I thought poor Rodney was very brave and calm before she arrived. I so need a Barcelona McKays icon...
The Tower was ok, too. Like [livejournal.com profile] bunnyvon told me, it was another John-as-Kirk kind of episode, but it was still pretty good. Rodney got some good bits too, but barely any Elizabeth, boo!
The Long Goodbye was... and experience. The kiss pissed me off. I thought it worked because they weren't themselves, but, aargh, now the John/Elizabeth shippers have more fodder for their squeeage and music videos. I have to admit I can see John/Elizabeth, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Rodney/Elizabeth any day. Or she even has some cute chemistry with Caldwell. But, aarghh, why do they have to be so obvious?? Other than that I quite liked the episode - it was fun to see Elizabeth finally get a gun and be scary, even if she wasn't herself. John was a complete dunce though, believing all that 'one last time' crap without question. And Caldwell's return was a bit... meh. It was like 'well, I was a Goa'uld, but I haven't suffered any psychological damage because I'm only recurring, so, on with the show!' So, all in all, not as exciting as some people thought, but still pretty good fun.

So now, I've run out of Stargate. Any chance of some more, [livejournal.com profile] 3_fries_short? And some SG1 too? Pretty please?
And now, I shall go make the house ready, because Poppy is coming this evening, yayayay!!!

I thought The Long Goodbye was quite John/Teyla! Since Elizabeth and John didn't even really kiss and the 'He cares for you more than you know' bit when Teyla was told to shoot John! And the fact that Elizabeth said she wasn't surprised that Teyla was the only one that caught John...
And my friends if I can draw your attention to 'Conversion', when John was turning into the bug (which began by lowering his inhibitions), he kissed Teyla and tried to kill Elizabeth! How much more do you need????
Just because John and Elizabeth flirt...
Here endeth my Sheyla rant.

You know I totally agree with you about Conversion.
And now you mention it, TLG was quite Sheyla...
But then, you're preaching to the choir here...
