Thanks in advance for making me a vid, I'm really excited about it! Really I'd love absolutely anything for the fandoms I've requested, so feel free to do your own thing, but here are some ideas to help you out if you want!
Music:
Really, the most important thing is that the song is the right one for the vid - I have really broad musical tastes and there's not a lot I don't like. I'm not a huge fan of most rap or dance music, but most other things are good! I really like folk music, rock, pop, 80s power ballads, female singer-songwriters with their own instruments, some country, musical theatre soundtracks... artists I like include Dar Williams, Vienna Teng, Regina Spektor, Ingrid Michaelson, Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Bonnie Langford, The Burns Unit, Clannad, Cyndi Lauper, Dolly Parton, ELO, Jim Moray, Toyah, The Decemberists, Freshlyground, Fleetwood Mac, Patrick Wolf, Tracy Chapman, Brandi Carlile, Karine Polwart, Missy Higgins, Ella Fitzgerald - but honestly I'll listen to almost anything and if it works for the vid that'll make me love the song anyway!
General:
I love vids about women, character studies, friendship vids, shippy vids, vids about communities and teams, cute vids, sad vids, silly vids, people kicking ass vids...
Cagney and Lacey
Literally anything! Something focusing on their friendship, or shippy, or a character vid for either of the title characters, a vid about the team... anything in this fandom would delight me.
I love Mary Beth and Christine equally so anything about either of them is good. Don't be afraid of the angstier storylines (exception: I'd really appreciate you avoiding Mary Beth's cancer storyline if you can) but I also really like the sense of fun their friendship has, so mood-wise pretty much anything goes! In terms of other characters I love everyone but Petrie and Harvey are particular favourites!
Dr Quinn: Medicine Woman
I'd love a vid about the community, or about women and their relationships to each other. I'd love friendship vids for Mike and anyone, or a vid about her and Colleen, or a character study for basically any female character but especially Mike, Olive, Colleen, Grace, Dorothy, Myra...
I love Mike and I love her interactions with the other women around her! I also love the community and the show as a whole. I like the men in the show fine, and I ship Mike/Sully (as well as Mike/Olive and Mike/Dorothy) but on the whole I'd love for it to be women-focused, although I don't mind the menfolk getting a look-in! ;)
Jam and Jerusalem
Sal and Tip friendship or shippy, unrequited Eileen for Sal, Caroline and Suzie, or a vid about everyone and everything, character study of anyone, team vid, sad vid, happy vid... you couldn't NOT please me, basically!
Not much more to add here - Sal, Tip and Yasmeen are my favourite characters but only by a hair, I love everyone, I love everything about the show, and you really can't go wrong!
M*A*S*H
I'd love to see anything about Margaret or the nurses!
Hmm, I haven't given much to go on here... I really love Margaret, she's one of my favourite characters of all time and I so enjoyed seeing her grow over the course of the show. I love her friendship with Hawkeye, and her relationship with Colonel Potter, and the way she takes care of her nurses. I love her when she's funny, when she's sad, and when she's in charge. Having said that I love everyone and everything on this show, so if you're not inspired for Margaret anyone is good, especially the other nurses, Klinger or Father Mulcahy.
Star Trek: The Next Generation
I'd love any vid about Troi, Pulaski, Crusher, Guinan, Tasha, or any vid about the women on the ship.
I am ALL ABOUT the women of Star Trek. Anything about them will please me, but character studies, friendship vids, look-how-awesome-all-these-women-are vids and femslash (basically anyone/anyone) are all good bets!

My favourite characters include Christina, Beatrice, the dynamic duo of Blanche and Rose, Joss, and Marion. I'm more familiar with season 1 and 2 so it's cool if you want to stick with one or the other or both! Don't be afraid of the angst, it would be hard to make a totally happy vid for this show, I think...

I'd love a Sonny/Danny shippy vid, possibly on the silly side, or any sort of general vid about the movie!
I have a deep appreciation for the high silliness level of this movie. I ship Sonny/Danny but I don't take it terribly seriously - a ridiculous OTT heartfelt shippy vid for them could be fun, as could some sort of dance vid, a vid about Kira, or basically anything else!
