Is that a student in my pants?
Dec. 4th, 2005 02:06 pmWell,
bunnyvon,
cadiliniel and I had the most amazing weekend!
It all got off to a flying start when their train was delayed, and then I called them to see where they were and they said they were at Long Eaton, and I knew that must be them approaching Beeston station, but the train went right through, and it turned out it wasn't stopping until Nottingham itself. So I got the taxi that was going to take us up to the house, went to Nottingham instead to meet them at the station, and called Claire to tell her to meet us at the Cornerhouse. Couldn't see them in the foyer, so I called them, and they informed me that they were in a corridor thingy, with one of those glass things that you look through... which turned out to be a window, surprise surprise. Anyway, I somehow realised what they were actually going on about and found them, then we went straight to the Cornerhouse, seeing lots of pretty clothes on the way. We went to Subway to get some food, and frightened people by having loud conversations about Padmoon. Claire arrived then, and we went to the cinema. We were a little bit loud, but it was all good fun, and it's even cooler the second time around! McGonagall is now officially the Dirty Old Lady Extraordinaire.
So we got the bus back, chilled out for a bit, then just talked for hours, probably waking up all of my housemates.
Saturday morning we got up at a reasonable-ish time, and went into town for lunch at Bella Italia. It was the nicest meal I've had in such a long time - the food was lovely, the service was excellent, the company, of course, was delightful. Ooh, and nice background music. So that was lovely, and we had a quick look around town too, got pretty things from Body Shop, watched a brass band playing Christmas carols for ages and ages, then got the bus back to Beeston.
Claire brought up her amazing X-Files cake then!

Isn't it beautiful? We were all super impressed, and we didn't want to cut into it, but we were glad when we did because it was luvverly! So we played the trivia game, did some drinking, watched some episodes, and that was pretty much what we did all night, apart from watching Magical Trevor a bunch of times. So we went to bed, switched out the lights, carried on talking, and by 3am we weren't sleepy so we got up again to eat iced gems and teach
bunnyvon Welsh.
So that meant that we were quite reluctant to get up this morning, but we still got out of the house by twelve this morning and went to Subway for lunch, to sort of bookend the weekend. Then we just hung out at the station until we saw
cadiliniel off, then I saw
bunnyvon off, then came home.
It was just such a lovely weekend, I'm really sad that it's over. It's also made me miss
3_fries_short,
deccaboo and
elektrik_storm even more! Guys, maybe we should do something while I'm at home this week? Anyhow I'll see you all at Christmas, which is three weeks away, hooray!!
