Nope, sorry, John/Rodney is nothing more than a fantasy, albeit an extremely popular one, apparently. Of course, if you say this, people will quote various episodes at you and go: "Subtext! Suuuuuubteeeeext!", but no, there is nothing concrete in any of the episodes to lead you to that conclusion. Wouldn't it be interesting, though, to actually see a gay relationship in an SF show?
