No wonder I didn't recognise her - I've only ever seen not-quite-two episodes of X-Files! And the movie, which I liked quite a lot. On some distant day when I can afford the entire series on DVD, I suspect I'll come to love it.
BTW since you're waaay more in touch with the world of fandom than I, and since I'm still barely 3/4 of the way through season 1 of Atlantis, can you clarify something for me about John and Rodney (I don't mind if there's spoilage involved)? - to wit: in another friend's LJ, there have been frequent references to J/R things, but the wording of these references makes it impossible for me to suss out if there's been an actual J/R relationship happening in Atlantis or if it's just the sad lame daydreams of the slashgirl community. I don't feel comfortable asking my friend directly as, if it's the latter, I might not be able to contain my scorn :P
