YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYYYY!!!!!!!!
Feb. 17th, 2006 09:52 pmOMG guys, I'm here to tell you that karma is real...
I was walking home from lectures today and it was kind of late, like, half five, and the Big Issue guy who's usually in Beeston was still there, and I knew he'd been there all day because I'd walked past him this morning. He looked really knackered but he was still not giving up, so I decided to go ahead and get one since I had some spare change.
I stuck it in my bag, thought nothing of it, and went about my evening (more about that in a second). Then much later I was sitting in Poppa Pizza, waiting for my margarita with mushrooms and onions, and I got out the Big Issue to have a flick through. And I turned to the TV page, and JEAN BRODIE IS ON TOMORROW AFTERNOON!!!!!
I have been desperate to see this film for ages and ages and you can't get it in the UK at all, which is criminal, but now, because I was nice and bought the Big Issue, I will be able to see it tomorrow and video it to keep forever and ever! YAY!!!!
The rest of my day was quite boring, especially Eastern European Societies, but my presentation kicked ass and I was so eloquent that the lecturer quoted me later on.
And, this evening I went to see
sashavangenius in a play! It was an experimental thing - they had 24 straight hours to come up with an idea, write it, rehearse it and get it ready for performance. It was not bad actually. Little bit short, but then, 24 hours isn't really long enough to write an entire play.
sashavangenius was amazing and wonderful and fabulous in every way. They didn't give her a very big part but she really made the most of the few lines she had, and even when she didn't have any lines she was still acting her ass off. Go Sash!
And then on the way home I went to Vibe24 and rented The Mighty Celt, which I shall be watching once Claire gets back from ice-skating. So... yay! Life is good.
