Aaaawww, I have a sudden urge to play my clarinet, but it's the middle of the night, dammit. I doubt my family would thank me for it, so instead I'll update my LJ with some nonsense that nobody wants to read...
My room is starting to look a bit better now - I've put my photos up, plus the all-important Johnny Depp poster, and it's getting to be a bit more homey. I guess all the Renoir prints in here must be mine now too, since my Dad didn't take them with him. There is almost room for all of my shoes on the shelves under the bed. I still have too many books, but I am going to sell some of them on ebay soon. Not too many though.
Ooh, and I found my phone charger, so the texting is back on, hooray!
There is a strange lump at the top of my jaw. It hurts. 'Tis mysterious. I wouldn't get excited though; it's probably not as dramatic as [livejournal.com profile] deccaboo's weird thumb from the other week.
I watched ST:TNG "The Child", and it has renewed my love for Dr Pulaski yet again. Oh, how I adore that woman. I feel a Season Two marathon coming on...
Also, isn't Torri Higginson wonderful?
I should sleep, but I'm too wide awake. And I have to get up early tomorrow to help my mother with the shopping. But hey, that's what caffeine's for, right?
cosmic_llin: (yay!)
I've had a slight reprieve! My net access was cut off because my stepdad needed the network cable for his computer, but this afternoon he decided on a whim to rebuild his computer, so I have the cable until tomorrow. Don't know when I'll be back online after that.
Fun day today!
This morning I helped my mother with the shopping. I do actually quite enjoy food shopping, and I like the chance to spend some time with Mum.
Then, in the afternoon, [livejournal.com profile] cadiliniel and I walked all the way up to the quarry, so technically we walked all the way from Llanfair to Pen, and all uphill too! I got a bit sunburned, but I know from experience that it will have turned into a tan by morning, so I don't really mind. It was such a fun afternoon, we just reminisced about when we were in primary school and Red Cross together, and narrowly escaped the killer bugs!
I feel like it's really summer now.

After ascertaining that the missing loggers disappeared somewhere in the vicinity of the Hanson quarry, Agent Langly and I assumed disguises and proceeded to that location.
Surprisingly, we saw no sign of dismembered corpses, blood-soaked axes etc, which would have given us some firmer ground on which to proceed. It seems clear that we have stumbled across a larger conspiracy, however, since a Tourist Board spotter plane was seen overhead, and we were forced to sunbathe and eat sweets for almost half an hour in order to avoid detection.
We do have one possible lead, however. The area in question was suspiciously infested with insects. Agent Langly believes them to be "killer bugs", which possibly killed or ate the missing loggers. However, I believe it more likely that the insects in question are an extremely sophisticated means of spreading a deadly virus, in order to create an emergency situation so that martial law can be declared. The loggers, in that case, would be preliminary test subjects for the virus and its means of transmission.

My recommendation is that Agent Frohike be brought in on this case. Clearly the insects are involved in some way, and Agent Frohike has the extensive knowledge of insect biology that Agent Langly and I lack.
