In thirteen hours I will be at Poppy's!!!!!!! And I have no Russian class this morning, so no lectures to go to until two o clock! Doesn't really explain why I am already up at nine in the morning, but I do have lots to do today and I've kind of got into the habit of getting up at a reasonable time whether or not I have an early lecture.
Can't believe I was so down yesterday morning, am feeling much better now. I think it was just a consequence of being tired, feeling ill and a little bit homesick. After I wrote that entry Dan from school IMed me and it was really good to hear from him. Then Poppy IMed to talk about arrangements for this weekend, and my Xmas MASH fic!!! Also spoke to Patrick, apparently he now has green hair, which is lovely.
Hamish in my Russian class dragged me along to his Mock United Nations thing last night - I was Finland. Partly because Finland is a very nice country, from what I've heard, but mainly because they didn't have much of a role to play in the discussion, which was about the AIDS crisis in Africa. Don't get me wrong, I love that sort of stuff, but when I've done it before I've had time to prepare and research, so I can get into the debate with confidence, but last night I basically just got thrown in at the deep end.
Then, to round off what turned into a quite nice day, I downloaded some Jack/Sam music videos. Ah, guilty pleasures!
