Long, long day today.
Well actually, 24 hours just like usual, but you know what I mean.
The day began with a History exam, on the causes of the First World War, and the Russian Revolution. Don't think I did particularly well, but wasn't a crucial exam so not particularly bothered. It was only an hour and a half but it seemed to take forever.
On Friday I have an exam clash, so I have to be in isolation for two hours so nobody tells me what was on my final history exam before I take it. Should be a barrel of laughs!
Patrick, Jess, Anwen and Hannah wrote in my leaving book - it's getting quite full now.
After that, my shoe broke, and I fell off it, which was pretty embarassing and also painful. Had to safety-pin it back together just to go to the canteen and get something to eat. Ho-hum.
I went home after my exam (Jess and I had one of those discussions waiting for the bus where we plan lots of stuff that doesn't end up happening - I'm sure it'll all happen eventually) only to find that the bank had rung again. The cashier who told me on Friday that my standing order was sorted out now was clearly lying through their teeth, since they called to arrange it today. And then she said I couldn't have it four-weekly, so I cancelled it, despite the fact that I've been paying it four-weekly for two years, and the problem only cropped up recently since my pay dates changed.
Anyway, later in the afternoon my autumn/winter Freemans catalogue arrived! Spent a happy half-hour marking all the stuff I want, but have no expectation of ever actually buying. (Well, perhaps just those boots).
On the way to work at teatime, went to the Post Office to post my student loan application, but the guy in front of me in the queue had six different parcels that he wanted to send to all different places, and some were first class and some were second and he got them all mixed up, then he wanted a receipt, then he wanted something else, and meanwhile I was panicking slightly because I needed to catch my bus to work.
Work, of course, is barely worth mentioning - checkout, customers, boredom etc. Am planning to leave at the end of the summer and find a job in a nice bookshop or something when I go to Uni.
So all in all it's been a fairly average day, but for some reason I feel really chirpy about life. Perhaps it's because I only have two exams left before I'm free, free for the entire summer! (Apart from the whole inconvenient issue of work).
