Leitmotif(s) of the year:
I have to say, I don't think I wrote enough for there to be one. Until I looked at it all here, I really didn't realise how little fic I'd written this year. I've been focusing so much on my original stuff.
My best story of this year:
Absolutely Where We Are Meant To Be. I really loved writing it and it got such a good response, and I still love the idea of it and the character I built up for Yoshi.
What’s your favorite story this year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you the happiest.
Probably the same as above, but, for variety's sake, I really like Jasmine and Rose, too. It's something I'd been meaning to do for a while and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.
Okay, NOW your most popular story.
By hit count on the AO3, that would be Integration. Not surprising, since Dax/Kira is one of the more popular Trek femslash ships at the moment.
Story of mine most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
I don't think any of them are really - but I'd like my Seven/Sarina fics to get a bit more attention just because I love the pairing!
Story that could have been better?
Any of them probably could have been better, but I felt like By Invitation Only (The Contradictions Remix) ought to have been better. I had a lot of fun figuring out Pulaski as a character, but I don't think I successfully got that onto the page.
Most fun story to write:
An Understanding was loads of fun to write, just because it's such a fun story! It was originally going to be about Lwaxana and Alys hanging out, and I realised that level of awesomeness was beyond my ability to convey, so I switched to the younger generation and it worked pretty well, I think!
Sexiest story?
I'm not really sure if any of them qualify! Almost everything I wrote this year was a G, two of them were Teen but even they only had brief mentions of sex... this is a turnaround from last year!
Hardest story to write:
Again, By Invitation Only (The Contradictions Remix) was a difficult one for me. I wrangled with it for a long time and never really felt satisfied.
Easiest story to write?
Armor. As soon as that episode of Korra was done, I switched on my computer, spilled out all my feelings and clicked Post.
Where did you publish/archive your stories?
Mostly just AO3. A few of them I also posted to LJ comms and stuff.
Story I haven't yet written, but intend to:
I've started a sequel to my Yar/Ro at the Academy fic, a third one in the Jasmine and Rose series, another Kira/Miles/Keiko story set during the series, an angsty Warehouse 13 babyfic and a Troi/Guinan story that's been brewing for ages. I also plan to write more in the fandom I did for Yuletide.
