I'm running a Star Trek friendship-themed ficathon...

At the moment we're in the tag nominations stage, so if you're thinking of participating, check out the profile/FAQ and then head over to the tagset and check out which friendships are nominated so far, and nominate any extra ones you might like to write or read about!

I'm not sure if this is the place for questions, but i'll ask anyway, since I have a few.

I'm not sure if Enterprise is included or not. When I first looked at the tagset earlier today there was an entry for it, but it's gone now. ENT is what I'd request and offer, so I'd like to know if it's going to be an option.

If so, there are a lot of possible friendships there, so choosing only three feels pretty limited in terms of giving people options (especially if there are very few people nominating in that series.)

I get the impression from reading the FAQ that there isn't a multiple series requirement in offers and requests. Is this correct?

(All that said, I don't know for certain that I will be able to participate. I've had, and continue to have, medical issues that crop up with little warning.)

Hi there - questions are no problem! :)

As mentioned in the exchange profile, inclusion of Enterprise will depend on how many people nominate friendships from it - since I'm not sure whether interest will be as high for Enterprise as the other series, I don't want to automatically include a lot of Enterprise friendships in case it leads to a situation where people ask for lots of Enterprise friendships because they're available in the tagset, but there's nobody who can actually write any of them. Asking people to nominate the few friendships they're most interested in makes it easier to match everyone successfully.

(So basically if you'd like to write/read Enterprise, your best bet is to encourage your friends to sign up for it too!)

So far there is no multiple series requirement and I hope there won't be, but I'll make a final decision before sign-ups open based on how likely it seems that multiple people will be able to write for Enterprise.
