I, too, am a recent convert to actually posting via DW -- have just granted you access to this journal, which is at present an exact mirror of my LJ but which I'm hoping to maybe switch over to eventually...
*hugs* Have been keeping up with your health woes even if not always commenting, and while I'm sorry to hear they are so woeful, at least the doctor seems to think that you're doing well considering the dose you are on, and even if the diagnosis is unpleasant, at least it is a diagnosis? (One of my friends back home went through ~2 years dealing with lupus-related problems before being diagnosed with it properly.)
In other news I am very jealous you will be headed to Croatia, but hope you have an amazing time! Life is much the same with me -- lots of reading and paper-writing, aka what grad school in the humanities looks like for probably everyone -- but I am looking forward to being in London briefly in June and will hopefully get to catch up at least a little in person (and hear more about your novel project which sounds AWESOME).
